    • Construction of new shower stalls at the Granada Street Kids center in Nicaragua. This is a great nonprofit that provides a safe place for kids who would otherwise be living on the streets. The organization provides a place to stay, receive an education and learn a valuable trade.
Joe met with the founder, Tom Mueller during a visit to Nicaragua in the winter of 2013 to see the facility first-hand and the important work being done there.

    • A simple need that has made a big change for the organization:
“I’m happy and I thank you. Because in past we had two showers and little water pressure. But now we have two showers more. Because 24 boys need to shower early everyday. Having two more showers really helps. Love, Nacho”

      – Ignacio Nacho Mora Gomez, student, English major

“Thank you so much for providing the funding which allowed us to build two additional showers at our campus. The problem we had previously of long lines waiting to shower has been solved. Our students can now take showers quickly and get on with the activities scheduled for the day”

      – Lazaro Antonio Lopez, Director of Escuela Nueva Vida
