The Problem

In the rural region of Kikamulo in Uganda, access to water is difficult for many schools. There are often no pumps or local water sources leaving the students and staff to bring water with them.

Project Updates

  • Sep 2014

    • Work is underway for the installation of a water tank at Noah’s Ark Primary School in the village of Mbukiro located in the region of Kikamulo, Uganda.  This region has 22 primary schools, none of which have piped water or electricity.  The students themselves are often required to make a 1.5 hour round trip to a viable water source.  The new tank will allow students to have a clean source of water at the school.

  • Nov 2014

    • The African Child Primary School in Nakaseke Uganda is finishing up the installation of it’s brand new water tank. This is the second school that is receiving a water tank under the Kikamulo Water Tank Project.

  • Dec 2014

    • The second catchment tank has been installed as part of the Kikamulo Water Tank Project – this one at the African Child Primary School in Nakaseke.  The full project will include the installation of two more tanks at two other regional schools.

  • Mar 2015

    • The final tank has been finished and installed at another school in Uganda as part of the Kikamulo Project.
