Project Updates

  • Nov 2015

    • This particular region has water pumped to the community only twice per week. The local school has no storage tanks and are therefore unable to have water available to its 1800 students. The donation team for this project will be providing the crucial funding needed to have a new tank installed along with a hand washing station to provide clean water to the school community.

  • Nov 2015

    • The students at the Githurai Kimbo Primary School are excited to have their new water tank onsite and they are getting ready for it to be installed. The new 5000 liter tank will provide clean water for all the students at the school. A new hand washing station will also be installed.  The team from the Fountain Youth Initiative are hoping to have everything ready before the Christmas holiday.

  • Jan 2016

    • The staff of Fountain Youth Initiative have officially handed over the finished water tank to the school administration, and the students are thrilled to have an onsite source of water available to them. The Githurai Kimbo project is now serving over 1800 students and will continue to do so for years to come. Thanks to Lilian Nyakio and the Fountain Youth Initiative team for managing the project and to all of the donors for their support.
