Water in Zambia

August 30th, 2010

We’ve received word that the well technician who has been digging the well has officially hit water. The next step will be the cementing of the top portion of the well. Pictures should be coming fairly soon and we will share them with everyone.

The final completion of the well will bring a much needed supply of clean drinking water to the community.

Pictures from Zambia

July 19th, 2010

A few images from our project in Zambia. Due to the rainy season, we have been unable to start the digging of the well, but now that things are dry again, digging should get started in a few weeks.

The well will be dug outside of a classroom (image below) and provide clean water for the students. The well technician will be heading out to Chisoyo and as the digging starts, we’ll be able to provide some new images.

Project Two: The Chisoyo Well

March 9th, 2010

Under a partnership with The African Community Project, we are happy to announce our next project.  This project will focus on the construction of a new well at the Chisoyo Community School located in the country of Zambia.
The construction of a new well will provide a source of fresh water to a community and school that is in dire need.  This project includes a collaboration with the local people who will arrange a “well committee” to help in its construction on long term maintenance.

Images and details will follow soon!
